When you visit the MM Linen website through the Shopify platform, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the site, and information about how you interact with the site. We refer to this

Our store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. In providing this service, Shopify also collects and processes certain personal information about you and your interactions with our site, including for order processing, fraud prevention, analytics, and improving products and services across the Shopify platform. This information may be shared with, and processed by, Shopify and other third parties who may be located outside of New Zealand, in order to help us provide our Services to you.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

- To store information about your preferences, and so allow the customisation of the site according to your individual interests.

- To recognise you when you return to our site.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
Additionally when you visit one of our retail events and supply us with your email address, we add you to our email marketing list – with your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
When you subscribe to our newsletter and supply us with your email address, we add you to our email marketing list – with your permission, we may send you emails about promotional events, new product launches and other product related topics.
When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the site, we collect
purchased/attempted purchased marketing data. This data is used to send you specifically relevant product updates, promotion offers and product related news.
When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.
How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the site;
including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with order confirmations and product review requests. Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimise our site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
We use retargeting marketing campaigns and targeted advertising to provide you with material relating to our products or services.

We disclose your personal information to the following categories of third parties, for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy: Platform and technology providers: Shopify (site hosting and order processing). Email and marketing platforms: Klaviyo (email marketing communications). Advertising and analytics partners: Google Analytics and Google Ads (site analytics and advertising). Payment processors: to process and verify payment for your order.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Where we share information with the parties above, they are only permitted to use it to provide services to us or to you, or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted

Additionally, if you are a New Zealand resident, we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.
Children’s Data
Our site and Services are not intended for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will take steps to delete it.
International transfers
Please note that we may store and process your personal information outside of New Zealand, including through service providers such as Shopify, Klaviyo, and Google. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to receive an appropriate level of protection in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
When you place an order through the site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
